With each team winning a game in the series, the third game will be the rubber match. The Cardinals scored the first six runs of the game before the Dodgers answered with a run in the seventh inning. But it was too little, too late. The Cardinals were able to shut the Dodgers down in the eighth and ninth innings to claim the victory. These two teams will play the final game of the series on Thursday in Los Angeles.
