NBA: Boston Celtics defeat Miami Heat 117-106 in game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals – Heat lead series 2-1
The Boston Celtics saved their season with a 117-106 victory of the Miami Heat to win their first game in the series. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points. Four of the Celtics’ five starters scored over 20 points, giving the Heat defense fits all night. Gordon Hayward returned from his ankle injury scoring six points in 31 minutes. He looked rusty, but the Celtics were +1 when he was on the floor.
The Heat were led by Bam Adebayo with 27 points, 16 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. He was a menace all game, but was not able to lead his team to victory. Rookie Tyler Herro has looked like a veteran all series, putting in 22 points in this game and looking like the moment was not too bright for him. Regardless of the outcome of this series, his playoff performance has to be encouraging for Heat fans.
