NFL: Week 2 of the regular season!

NBA: Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers in game 2 of the Western Conference Finals

After winning the first game of this best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series, the Lakers are looking to take a commanding 2-0 lead over the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers dominated in game one, looking like the fresher and more talented basketball team. The Nuggets will need to make adjustments and get contributions outside of their stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

The Nuggets have been comfortable coming from behind in previous playoff series, but they have not faced a team as talented as the Los Angeles Lakers. They cannot afford to foul as carelessly as they did in game one, and will need to hope for a better whistle from the referees in order to have a chance of winning.

Lakers: 121 Nuggets: 118

The Lakers are just too talented. The Nuggets’ two best players are 25 and 23 years old respectively, and their potential third star in Michael Porter Jr. is 22 years old. This young trio should be around for years to come, but they are not ready to push this championship favorite Lakers team quite yet.
